After growing up and playing junior golf in South Gippsland, I began my traineeship in 1995 at Amstel Golf Club, where I worked for five years. I then moved to Keysborough Golf Club in 2001 and subsequently worked there as assistant and teaching professional until 2004.

Whilst working at Keysborough Golf club, I began playing in professional events and, performing well, this is the path that my golfing career took me over several years, playing pro-ams and the Australasian Tour on a full-time basis.

The highlights of my playing career over those years included:

  • Being ranked in the top 5 of the Victorian Order of Merit from 00/01 – 05/06;
  • Winning the Victorian Order of Merit in 2002-2003;
  • Winning a number of Victorian and interstate pro-ams;
  • Achieving a number of course records;
  • Playing in high profile events such as state open events and the Australian PGA Championships; and
  • Attending tour school in S.E. Asia.

Whilst playing full-time, I continued to coach on a casual basis, at a number of venues including the former Golf Park, Moorabbin.

In May 2006, I took on the role of teaching professional at the well-renowned and prestigious Commonwealth Golf Club, where I continue to enjoy coaching members and non-members on a full-time basis.

My students range from beginners, club golfers of ranging handicaps, pennant players, talented junior golfers and golf professionals.

I still also continue to play some Victorian pro-ams and have had some continued success in those local events. I also enjoy playing regularly with members at Commonwealth and other golfing mates at other metropolitan courses and elsewhere in Victoria.
